Introducing Laguna Gloria
Couples love the elegant romantic architecture and quintessential Austin landscape. Laguna Gloria was originally built in 1916, and it later became the first Austin Museum of Art. The property features sunset views on Lake Austin, lush green trails, bubbling fountains and rotating modern art displays. Laguna Gloria is a short 12 minute drive from all the best downtown Austin hotels. It's one of the few wedding venues with both outdoor appeal and downtown convenience.

CAPACITY
175 - 200 Guests Max
Although the facility can accommodate 200 guests, 175 max is recommended. It’s important to stay under this threshold for purposes your rain plain. In the event of inclement weather, you will need to provide tents for catering, musicians, and all tables. The capacity for the venue is based on the areas that are suitable for tenting.
OUTDOORS
Outdoor Tenting
Inside the villa can hold a dinner party for 60 guests without tenting.
Below tenting estimates including setup and delivery
- $3,400 Minimal (small wedding with a DJ)
- $4,800 Average (medium wedding with a band)
- $7,000 Full Tenting (large wedding with a band)
Heating + Cooling
It is common to rent portable coolers or mushroom heaters from your third-party rental company.
- $150 per portable coolers (estimate 6 on average)
- $150 per mushroom heaters (estimate 8 on average)
Sound + Lighting
There is a $1,075 fee required for all events with amplified sound. In addition to that fee, it’s common to add festoon lights for the path, microphones and speakers for toasts and a microphone and speakers for your ceremony.
We recommend budgeting an additional $2,000+ for sound and lighting add-ons. Depending on the time of year (and when the sun sets) expect to spend $2k to $6k on lighting and sound.
UTILITIES
Additional Power
Additional power is only needed if you plan to bring in a band and additional lighting. Plan to budget an additional $400 to $600 for a power-drop, provided by the in house lighting AV company.
Stage + Dance floor
If you have a DJ, you can use the concrete patio on the upper terrace as a dance floor. If you’re bringing in a band, plan to budget approximately $2,300 for a stage and dance floor. A stage and dance floor is only required for the four seasons lawn, not the upper terrace.
Restroom Facilities
Men and women’s restrooms are available in the main villa, on the second floor.
TRAVEL
Bussing
It's not common to bus guests to Laguna Gloria due to the venue’s proximity to downtown. We do recommend renting a bus to get the wedding party and family to the venue on time. $900 is average for a 40 passenger bus.
Valet
It’s not common to use valet at this venue, but it’s an elegant option!
$900 for 100 guests (25 cars)
$1,700 for 150 guests (50 cars)
$2,000 for 200 guests (75 cars)
Parking
20 to 25 parking spots are available onsite, within the gates. There is additional street parking on 38th Street.
